Screw mixer

There are many types of mixing devices used on single-screw extruders. They are differentiated by either being primarily a dispersive or shear device that adds to the melting capacity, or a redistribution device that mixes essentially by dividing the melt numerous times to distribute the minor component as layers throughout the major component. All mixers necessarily have some of both features.

The use of these mixing devices affects the overall performance of the screw, it plays a big role on the screw job, therefore screw mixer is unavoidable.

Some screw mixers are dependant and screwed into the screw body. When people walk with two legs, EJS has other groups of screw and barrel as well, such as Screw Elements, Twin Screw Extruder Parts. Almost all processes using a single screw require some degree of mixing, whether it’s just to homogenize regrind with virgin resin or to mix in some color concentrate.

There are three kinds of mixing: dispersive, distributive, and extensional.

Extensional mixing occurs predominantly in twin-screw extruders.

Dispersive mixing is like putting two materials to be mixed between two plates and rotating one of the plates.

Distributive mixing is like putting the two materials in a bowl and stirring them with a spoon. The number and path of the spoon strokes would be proportional to the degree of mixing.

Packaging

Packaging is the last but very important step before shipping. A strong and smart packing box is also part of our quality. It is not only used to protect the screws barrels well during transportation, also provide an easy way for our customer to unpack.
